The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is coming up on Sunday September 22, 2013. Ideas in Motion Media is a proud sponsor and we have formed a group to that will be walking in the event that day and we’d love for you to walk with us! More than one person on our LIFE Team has had someone special in our lives who has suffered from Alzheimer’s, so this is a very special and important event for us.
The LIFE Savers (our awesome group name) will be donning super hero themed outfits and fighting against the evil Alzheimer’s disease and saving memories, one step at a time!
If you want to be part of out team, you can sign up via this link (steps on how to register provided below)! Please register before September 19, 2013. It’s free to participate and you can dress up however you like. Be Superman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman; or make up your own super hero identity.
Here’s how to register for the LIFE Savers team:
- After clicking the link (above), click the big green “Register” button.
- Then Click the green “Join a Team” button.
- Type our team name (LIFE Savers) in the box with the red asterisk above it that is labeled “Team Name”, to the right is a drop-down menu from which you choose a company. Choose Ideas in Motion Media (we’re under Local Companies), and then click the light blue “Search for a Team” button.
- Below the search results will bring up our team. Click the green “Join” button on the right.
- You will be taken to another page that gives you different options for registration and making donations and setting a fundraising goal. All of this is optional so if you wish to raise funds and donate then chose the options that work best for you, if not then just click the top option that states Walk Registration and then click the purple “Next Step Button” at the bottom of the page.
- Click “Join as a New Participant”.
- Fill out the appropriate boxes and click the purple “Next Step Button” at the bottom of the page.
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions and the purple “Next Step Button” at the bottom of the page.
- Click the green “Complete Registration” button.
You are in! You have the option to raise funds if you’d like, so feel free to do it. If you are unable to walk with us, then you can donate to our team. All donations go to the Alzheimer’s Association for research, support and care.

Registration/Check In Opens: 12:30pm Opening Ceremony: 1:30 pm
The walk is approximately 1 mile long and it goes around Hidden Lake. The route is a paved road that is stroller and wheelchair friendly. Extra friendly dogs are welcome, too. Water stations and clean-up bags will be available and free food and drinks will be available. Parking is free near the walking route and in the parking lot northwest of the stage.
There will be all sorts of things taking place for all ages! We’re going to have a ball!
