Barker Middle School Students Win at Regional Science Fair

Barker-Middle-School-Students-Win-at-Regional-Science-Fair-2018Three Barker Middle School students competed at Valparaiso University’s Regional Science & Engineering Fair on Saturday, February 24, an event that is sponsored by Arcelor Mittal. All three Barker students received awards! Congratulations to:

  • Kyra Krachinski, who received an Honorable Mention in the Biological Division.
  • Riley Steinhiser, who placed third in the Physical Science Division. He also received the Broadcom MASTERS Award for Rising Stars in STEM. Riley has been invited to submit an application to compete in the prestigious national Broadcom MASTERS challenge.
  • And Eric Wroblewski, who placed 2nd in the Biological Division. Eric now advances to the Hoosier State Science & Engineering Fair, which will be held on March 24 at IUPUI in Indianapolis.

Barker Curriculum Coach Amy Hamann coordinated the STEM Fair for Barker and accompanied these students to the regional contest.
