On Thursday, May 22, Barker Middle School inducted 45 new members into the John H. Barker Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. The new members joined 83 seventh and eighth graders who were already members.

This school year, members of Barker’s National Honor Society chapter raised funds for alumni scholarships and several area charities including the Washington Park Zoo and Salvation Army. They tutored students at both Barker and Edgewood Elementary, and completed hundreds of hours of community service.
