Barker Mansion Christmas Closes Saturday, January 2, 2016

Barker-Mansion-Cristmas-Tree-2015-02Those wanting a look at the decorated Barker Mansion are invited to a final day of Christmas events on Saturday, January 2.

Self-guided tours will take place from 1-8 pm, during which visitors can experience all three floors of the mansion which is decorated to the theme “Songs of the Season” this year. Local musical talent Karol Valek will perform in the ornate Drawing Room at 3 pm and cocoa will be served at 6 pm.

The Barker Mansion is located at 631 Washington Street in Michigan City, IN. The 38-room mansion was built by freight car industrialist and philanthropist John H. Barker in 1905.
