Footlight Theatre is holding auditions for its October production of "Oliver!" the musical on Sunday, August 10, and Monday, August 11. Children's auditions will begin at 5 PM, and adult auditions at 7 PM.
Performances will run for three weekends on October 3-5, 10-12, and 17-19. Footlight Theatre is located at 1705 Franklin St.
A large cast of children ages 7 and up and adults of all ages will be needed for this production. Come prepared to sing a portion of a song of your choosing with or without accompaniment (an easy song like "Happy Birthday" for young children is OK). Our music director will be on hand to play piano. Those auditioning for character roles will also be expected to read excerpts from the script and participate in a simple dance audition. Families are welcome and no previous acting experience is necessary.
