Melissa Gruber, human resources director, reveals what this celebration means for the recognition of ARC’s hard work over the years.

“We are proud that Renolit has been here in La Porte for the last 25 years,” Gruber said. “We are a global company based in Germany and we’ve seen continuous growth here. We’re incredibly fortunate that our owners have invested a lot in our structure, equipment, and people so that we can continue to build upon it.  One thing is for sure, we wouldn’t be where we are today without our awesome team members, past and present.  We are excited to celebrate with our team and our community!”

There have been various projects that the company has been able to celebrate over the past 25 years. One of the biggest ones recently was the Calender Line, Line 35, which sparked big things for the City of La Porte.

“Over the last few years, we celebrated our new Calender 35 line. That line alone added more than 25 jobs in our La Porte location. In addition to our business growth, we pride ourselves on our community involvement.”

Since RENOLIT acquired the plant in La Porte back in 1999, they have seen the constructional development of multiple office buildings and the movement of their import warehouse to La Porte. In terms of sustainability, they have managed to create products that are completely phthalate-free.

As a result, ARC sales will be more than eight times higher in 2024 than they were 25 years ago. They’ve created a plethora of job opportunities while providing additional equipment for increased capabilities.

Andreas Lang, chairman of the supervisory board for American RENOLIT, strongly supports the way that ARC is motivated to open up opportunities that are designed for the people of La Porte County.

“We’re all about creating jobs and providing for the benefit of the community,” Lang said. “We want to advance the company and we have been able to do that here in the city of La Porte. We hope to celebrate even more achievements.”

On top of their major projects, ARC also provides company events throughout the year in the community. This includes family picnics, sales meetings, outside activities, charity events, celebrations, Earth Days, and training sessions.

Helmut Schaedler, supervisory board member for American RENOLIT, believes devoting their efforts to this community has been a monumental success and necessity for their team.

“I think it's essential for a company to be dedicated to a certain location like we are here,” Schaedler said. “We want to work closely with the community and government.”

Nils Dietz, president of ARC, believes celebrating this milestone is a great representation of what they have been able to accomplish.

“The 25th anniversary is all about excellence,” Dietz said. “We have a lot of employees who have been here over the years and more who continue to come. We have a lot of experience and a good reputation with the customers.”

As the company has welcomed many new faces and others have gone their own way, Dietz appreciates the work that every member of the ARC team has contributed to them to be in the successful position they are today.

“To put it simply, the people here truly care,” Dietz said. “They know that the company cares and that the employees are trying their best every day. We want to continue our success story and look forward to our future investments.”
