Last week American Licorice Company donated $10,000 to Bethany Church of La Porte to help them fund the construction and creation of a splash pad at their upcoming park! As the local licorice company is always looking for ways to invest in the happiness of the community, associates believe that such a project will provide unending opportunities for the children and families of La Porte to enjoy the outdoors for many summers to come!
It is the belief of Bethany Church, American Licorice Company, and many other community donors, that every child and family should have access to a public space; the addition of a splash pad to the upcoming park will work to make this area an exciting destination for children and families, of all abilities and generations, to enjoy the outdoors.
Bethany Church has partnered with the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority to receive a $50,000 grant if they fundraise $50,000 before September ends. Many local companies and community members (77, to be exact) have contributed and $36,000 has been raised for the cause! But they still need your help to achieve this generous and lofty goal. Starting at only $20, community members can donate any amount, and can also get involved by telling their friends and family about this venture, and can even share about splash pad on social media!
