Activities planned for Ohio Dominican and Truman State for America’s Crossroads Bowl

Jim Cornelison to sing The Star-Spangled Banner; Tailgate Party at Hobart Art Theatre

Ohio Dominican University representing the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) and Truman State University representing the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) will meet at the Inaugural America’s Crossroads Bowl held in Hobart, Indiana at the Brickyard Stadium on December 7, 2019. Kickoff will be 1:00 p.m. CST.

America’s Crossroads Bowl is the first NCAA Division II Bowl game held in Indiana. Ohio Dominican University and Truman State University were selected to the postseason game as the highest-ranking team in the league standings not participating in the NCAA Division II playoff.

The players will be visiting the Early Learning Center at George Earle, Joan Martin Elementary, Liberty Elementary and Ridgeview Elementary schools in Hobart on Friday afternoon. After the meet and greet with students they attend Hobart’s Tree Lighting Ceremony from 5:00-6:00 p.m. They will be available for photos and mingling with guests as well as handing out hot cocoa.

Hobart Art Theatre will welcome guests to the America’s Crossroads Bowl Tailgate Party on Saturday, December 7 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Participants will enjoy Bar-B-Que and drink specials. A free shuttle will be available from the Tailgate Party to Brickyard Stadium. The Hobart Art Theatre is located at 230 Main Street in Hobart.

Spectators will enjoy The Star-Spangled Banner sung by the legendary Jim Cornelison; The Truman State Band, Pipes n Drums by the Celtic Guard. Before the game, two honorary team captains, both WWII veterans will be announced as well as a Pearl Harbor dedication reading.
