Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso US 30 Cruise Night has provided fun for local families, bikers and car enthusiasts throughout the summer. However, this great event could not have been possible without the dedicated volunteers, generous sponsors and passionate participants.
Cruise night is held at Harley Davidson Valparaiso every Friday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, providing many chances for the Northwest Indiana community to get in on the fun.
Ginger of Harley-Davidson Valparaiso and organizer of the event, wants to extend her gratitude to everyone who made the cruise nights possible.
The partnerships from Grieger's and Copper Custom Armament continues to help the event to be at the scale it is today. Without these companies, cruise night would not have the continued success it does. The following sponsors have also played a large role in the success of cruise nights: Valpo Muffler, View Outdoor Advertising, Boyd Asphalt, M&S Collision Center, Babilla Roofing, Valpo Trailer, Z Rod, Fitzpatrick (Face and Body), Ozinga, and Digital Graphic Solutions.
“I wanted to give a ginormous thank you to our partners and sponsors. They help to make this all possible,” Ginger said.
Ginger also wanted to extend her gratitude to Suzie’s Cafe for providing food, Leroy’s for providing the beer garden, Valpo Velvet for providing dessert, and all the Southpoint businesses that have given the event parking availability.
In addition to partners and sponsors, volunteers play a very large part in cruise nights.
“I would like to give a huge thank you to our volunteers, I couldn't do it without them. They each have a huge impact on the event,” Ginger said.
Specifically, Ginger shouted out Robert Ramirez and Dave Rybicki for helping handle traffic, as well as Pastor Phil of Full Throttle Church for his help with bike parking.
“Everyone donates their time to help and that's something that I can’t thank them enough for. They help keep things running smoothly throughout the night and they continuously show up throughout the summer for these events,” Ginger said.
Cruise nights also serve as a way for participants to give back to their community. Each month, cruise night donates funds to a different local organization. In June, donations went to American Motorcycling Veterans, July donations went to Lakeshore PAWS, and August donations will be benefiting Hilltop Neighborhood House. While the event is free, these donations come from the passionate, generous cruise night participants.
“It’s great that we can use this event to give back to the community and I want to thank everyone who donated to these causes, a huge thank you to all of our participants for helping us make this happen,” Ginger said. “You meet so many amazing people at these events, there are so many outstanding participants and volunteers. We have people from all different walks of life, and they are all willing to help.”
With all of the kind, generous participants, the giving sponsors and partners, and the dedicated volunteers, Harley-Davidson of Valparaiso US 30 Cruise Night were a hit all summer long.
“Where else in Northern Indiana can you go and find a place for young kids, families, older generations to gather and just have some fun,” Ginger said. “Everyone does a remarkable job, it's a lot of work and everyone pitches in, and the end result is so worth it.”
