A Note from the Michiana Humane Society: Madison

Michigana-Humane-Society-MadisonMadison is smiling, and it's no wonder. After two failed adoptions, she was tired of being at the shelter and her behavior challenges were becoming more pronounced. We had to take action. And because of that final push, Madison is now in a great home. I wanted to share a bit of the e-mail we received from her new family.

Madison is doing very well! She goes on a daily one hour walk with us. When we get home, she takes a long nap...In the afternoon we play ball and she is learning to bring the ball back and drop it. Early evening she walks on a long line and does what she thinks is hunting. Actually she just wants to smell every tree, bush, and blade of grass.

Madison loves to ride in the car, tummy rubs, and the security of her crate which is open during the daytime.

We feel she has adopted us as much as we adopted her.

Madison spent over two months at MHS this last time. It's because our community invests in us that we are able to offer that much time and attention to an individual dog.
