Camdon slipped his collar just a few hours after being adopted last week. He was in a strange neighborhood, not yet familiar with his people. And he is a skittish dog.
For seven days Camdon was lost. MHS volunteers combed the neighborhood, put up posters, and even placed an ad in the local newspaper seeking information. There were sightings, but he would not allow himself to be caught.
Then on Wednesday evening, a neighbor took his service dog outside and saw a loose dog. After safely placing his own dog indoors, he returned outside with a leash. Camdon walked right up to him.
We want to reward the people who gave up their days off, spent their own money for ads and gasoline, and took this frightened boy into their home where he was given a meal and allowed to sleep in the bed.
