A New Year, A New Start for Our Pets

michiana-humane-societyThe overpopulation of unwanted pets in our community continues to grow. As a result, the Michiana Humane Society has resolved to make changes so that our pets do not contribute to the problem.

Beginning January 1, 2015, thanks to our generous donors, every pet adopted from the Michiana Humane Society must be spayed or neutered before it can go home.

We are pleased to announce that adoption fees will continue to be held at 2014 rates: $135 for dogs, and $85 for cats, but now in addition to receiving vaccinations and disease testing, your new pet will be guaranteed not to contribute to overpopulation!

Once again, we are extremely appreciative of all the support we have received from our contributors, without which this new spay/neuter initiative would not have been possible.
