A La Porte County Life in the Spotlight: Mary Beth Meyers

This week’s Spotlight is the bright and cheerful Mary Beth Meyers of McColly Real Estate. Mary Beth was born and raised in Union Mills and knows La Porte County like the back of her hand. If you’ve ever met Meyers, you know instantly that she not only takes pride in her work but her family as well. As a dedicated mother, wife, and grandmother her family always comes first.

Any clients who have met with Meyers would instantly assume that she has been in the business for years with the knowledge and personal approach she brings to the table. However, Meyers has only been an agent for five years. She has worked a variety of jobs including owning convenience stores, owning a Subway, and she also worked in the inspection industry which led to her decision to become an agent.

Mary Beth went into real estate with a goal to be as successful as she could and she has met that time and time again. Within her first year, she was given the rookie of the year award from McColly Real Estate for the entire company and this year she was the top listing agent in her office for the month of March. Meyers has an eager personality, a go-getter attitude, and the honest care for her clients to make sure that each and every one of them is happy with their transaction.

Outside of her career as a top agent, Meyers serves on an advisory board for Bethel Presbyterian Church in her hometown of Union Mills and has been an active member of the Lion’s Club for many years. Meyer’s enthusiasm and her love for her community is very apparent to anyone who knows her. La Porte County is where Mary Beth has grown up, was married, raised her children, and where she now lives across the street from her childhood home. To say that she has hometown pride would be an understatement.

Meyers says that she loves what she does.

“It’s my passion. It’s the people. It’s not just my clients either, it’s my colleagues, my mentor’s, the inspectors, and lenders. I have not had one transaction where I have felt like I was disrespected or treated poorly," she says.

That says a lot not only about our community but the character of Mary Beth Meyers which is why she is this week’s Life in the Spotlight for La Porte County Life.
