A Family Friendly Mixed-Media Event Awaits Your Senses during June First Friday in Downtown Michigan City

Michigan-City-Mainstreet-AssociationThe Michigan City Mainstreet Association is pleased to present the First Friday Artwalk in the Uptown Arts District on June 6, 2014. The Uptown Arts District is comprised of fine art galleries, retail and restaurants located in the area from 11th Street to the lake and Spring Street to Wabash Street in Michigan City, IN.

The First Friday Artwalk features the latest exhibits at some of the Uptown Arts District’s finest galleries. Galleries and businesses will be open, featuring local artists, offering refreshments and entertainment. The Southern Shore Art Association hosts the opening of Fur, Feathers, Skin & Scales, “art with the animal in any shape or form”, Trinity Church features virtuosic violin duos, Lubeznik Center showcases South Shore Dance Alliance, there is an outdoor concert by the Banana Slug String Band celebrating Coastal Awareness month, silversmith, quilters, paper making and much much more!
