Downtown La Porte is pleased to invite family and friends out for an early Halloween and 2nd Saturday celebration along Jefferson, Indiana, State and Lincolnway in the downtown area October 12th from 5pm to 7pm. The 2nd Saturday Downtown Trick or Treat Night also includes free cider donated by Garwood Orchards and pumpkin sales by Fischer Farm located at Lincolnway and Michigan Avenue by the historic downtown courthouse. Princesses Rapunzel and Sofia the First will also be in this area for free visits and pictures with the kids, along with the Northwest Indiana Ghostbusters.
Many businesses such as Mucho Mas, Magic Sports, Wilson’s Barbershop, Uptown Shoppes, Rocco’s, Indiana Deli and many more will have candy and fun for the family. There will be a costume contest for adult and child attendees at Lane Appliance on Lincolnway in which the grand prize will be a Frigidaire Electric Fireplace.
