Each month, the 2nd Saturday host something special in Downtown LaPorte and opens their doors for an evening of fun, excitement, food and, for the month of September, art. The popular Thaddeus C. Gallery will not be open, but do not let you keep you from quenching your art cravings.
From 5pm to 8pm, Downtown LaPorte businesses will be open to visitors, community members and friends. Each will be offering a mix of artworks, food, music and other refreshments. Experience the live painting by artist Clinton Worthington at his new studio at 713 Indiana Avenue or see poetry and art tied together by Richard Panos at Temple News Agency on Jefferson Avenue.
2nd Saturdays! feature more than just art as many of the antique stores and gift shops remain open as well. Discover the large antique stores that feature an array of vendors from all over the area and feature personal or handmade treasures. Meet with Downtown business owners and friends and discover the culture of Downtown LaPorte.
