Every February 14, across the United States and in other places around the world, candy, flowers and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint, and where did these traditions come from? Well, why not join us at the La Porte County Historical Society on Saturday, February 14th to find out some history behind this legend.
Our program begins at 1 pm with some history about Valentines and sharing our Great Loves of La Porte County love stories.While you are here you will have the opportunity to write down your own love story for us to add to our collection and have it become part of La Porte County history.In addition we will be entertained by the music of “Sentimental Journey” and you will be able to participate in some romantic trivia and win a small prize.Light refreshments will be served.Bring the family, grab that special someone or if you want just come by yourself – a good time is promised to all!The program is free but regular museum admission is required.
