2015 Indiana Plan Testing Dates Announced

michigan-city-sealThe Michigan City Human Rights Department would like to announce that the Indiana Plan will start testing in June of this year. The Indiana Plan is a pre-apprenticeship training program sponsored by the Indiana State Building Trades. The Indiana Plan recruits, informs, and educates eligible program participants about the steps necessary to become accepted into construction apprenticeship programs. Trainees participating in the Indiana Plan work on job readiness and resume writing skills along with good interviewing techniques. Participants also prepare for the apprenticeship aptitude test while receiving information on upcoming apprenticeship openings in the construction trades.

Test dates are listed below: Deadline to register for testing is May 28, 2015
June 1, 2015, 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
June 2, 2015, 1:00 p.m.
June 3, 2015, 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
June 4, 2015, 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
June 5, 2015, 9:00 a.m.

Entry level requirements include:
Must be 18 years of age
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Valid Indiana’s Driver’s License
Able to pass a drug test
Ability to pass a 10th grade aptitude test
Own a reliable vehicle
