Ideas in Motion Media is excited to announce their next addition to their #1StudentNWI network.
Starting on May 20, every student writer of the #1StudentNWI program will receive their own personal portfolio with a collection of all of their written and photographed work across IMM's four networks: ValpoLife, PortageLife, LaPorteCountyLife, and NWIndianaLife.
"This represents a major step for us in terms of connecting with students and schools across Northwest Indiana and stands as a testament to our commitment to give these young writers the tools and assistance they need to succeed in the journalism field," says Ideas in Motion Media CEO, Chris Mahlmann.
These portfolios will come with a high-quality image of their professionally taken photo and school logo. In addition to a professional portfolio, this new initiative will also include a unique URL for each student, allowing them to have their own personal web page displaying their work.
"This was an obvious choice when thinking of ways to connect our student writers with the digital world," says Mahlmann. "The need for a meaningful online presence is more important than ever and by giving each student a custom URL, we can give them the tools necessary to get their presence out into the digital workspace."
Ideas in Motion Media currently employs nearly 30 students from various high schools across from Northwest Indiana who provide the latest positive news of their school’s students, faculty and events.
