PNW Calumet Campus honorees
Recognized at the PNW Calumet Campus were:

Outstanding Service Employees—Maria Carrillo of Whiting, Building Services, and Shannon Hassel of Hammond, University Police.
Outstanding Operations/Technical Assistant Employees—Debra Grant of Hobart, Administrative Assistant for the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Science and Cheryl Lutgen of Crown Point, Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
Outstanding Administrators—Suzy Giannini of Schererville, Interim Associate Director of Admissions, and Amber Schuler of Griffith, Academic Advisor for the Dept. of Construction Science and Organizational Leadership.

Purdue University Northwest
With recent approval by the Higher Learning Commission, Purdue University Calumet and Purdue University North Central have unified to become Purdue University Northwest (PNW), a comprehensive regional university comprised of the Calumet Campus at Hammond and North Central Campus at Westville. When it welcomes its first class of students this fall, PNW will become Indiana’s fifth largest public university, enrolling more than 15,000 students and offering 70+ degree programs.
