11 New CASA Volunteers Complete Class to Make Lifelong Difference for Local Children

CASA-Volunteers-Oct-2013La Porte Circuit Court Judge Thomas Alevizos swore in fifteen new Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers on Oct 29, 2013 to represent the best interest of abused and neglected children for the CASA Program of La Porte County. The new volunteers finished an intensive 6-week training session to better understand child abuse and neglect, the court process, report writing and the impact of substance abuse on children and families.

Abused and neglected children are real in La Porte County. They need a voice to be heard in court. To share their story. To insure the best outcome possible for their future. To know that someone cares. The CASA Program of La Porte County is taking completed applications for their next training session.
