First Friday Art Walk in Michigan City’s Uptown Arts District
The Michigan City Mainstreet Association is pleased to present the First Friday Art Walk in the Uptown Arts District on September 4th, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm. The Art Walk features local merchants hosting an array of artists and entertainment for free enjoyment for visitors, adults and families alike. own-arts-district

Taste of Duneland
The annual Taste of Duneland will be taking place on Saturday September 5 in downtown Chesterton from 11am to 11pm. There will be live music by the Original Hazzard County Band and the Mad Poets, and there will be great food there provided by local vendors. Come out and have a great time on your Labor Day Weekend. 

Valparaiso Farmer's Market
We're one month into the Market season, and hundreds have turned out to support their local merchants, and best of all, we're just getting started! The Valparaiso Market runs through October 2. Come out to peruse the vast selection of fresh, local produce, handmade gifts, flowers, plants, and more. 

Rock 'N Rail Street Fest
The 7th annual Rock 'N' Rail Street Festival will take place on Broad Street in Griffith’s renovated downtown business district. It features free admission, a fantastic variety of food vendors, arts and crafts, street vendors, family beer garden, non-stop live music, a KIDZONE and family entertainment. The Festival will begin Thursday September 3rd and run through Sunday September 6th. Music inside Family Beer garden until MIDNIGHT every night. Also, check out the excellent bands playing on the bar stage (21 and over) during breaks on the main stage. 

La Porte Farmers Market
Purchase locally produced vegetables and meats, crafts, and other hand-made items from local artisans, and delicious and healthy edibles made in local kitchens. 

Coffee in the Garden at Barker Mansion
Back again this summer, the public is invited to Coffee in the Garden at Barker Mansion. The casual program is free of charge and runs from 9 am to 11:30 am on Saturday mornings from July 11 through September 5. Guests are invited to relax amid the sights and sounds of the formal garden which features sculptures, a pergola, wicker chairs, and a fountain pool. Coffee is available for a $1 donation and sweets are free of charge. Last year, it was popular for visitors to shop at the nearby Farmer’s Market before heading over to the mansion.

Standing Up for Our Youth Bike Run
Iron Pack Brotherhood will host their 3rd Annual Standing Up for Our Youth Bike Run at Buddy & Pals to benefit local children. 

European Market
Join Us at Chesterton’s European Market every Saturday from the beginning of May through the end of October in historic downtown Chesterton. From 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, visit us at Broadway and Third Street, next to Thomas Centennial Park. We’re located two miles south of the Indiana Dunes at Lake Michigan, and our Market is easily accessible from Interstate 94 to exit 26A or via the 80/90 Toll Road to exit 31. 

Family Hikes at Sunset Hill

Portage Market on the Square
The 2015 Portage Community Market will be held at Founders Square every Sunday from June 14th through September 6th from 10am to 3pm, Rain or Shine!
