Unified Car Wash 
The Michigan City Police, Michigan City Fire, and Michigan City Area Schools present a "fun-raising" unified car wash and "free" hot dog lunch to benefit the La Porte County United Way! The event will take place on Friday, September 30 from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. across from Ames Field in Michigan City. The minimum donation is $5. Mums will also be for sale at this event.

Portage High School Homecoming Festival 
Friday September 30th, the Portage High School Thespians will be hosting the first ever Portage High School Homecoming Festival! Free admission to all! From school children to adults there is something for the entire family! Skee-ball, football toss, soccer kick, face painting, kids games, T-shirts, Portage Spirit Wear, music and more!! The festival starts at 3pm on the lawn and practice field east of the Warpath Stadium, concluding at 6pm when the gates open for the big game!

Westville Pumkin Festival 
Join us for a celebration of the pumpkin harvest in a true Midwestern-style family event. Come enjoy pumpkin pie along with food and craft booths, tractor pulls, a parade, run/walk event and live entertainment!

Enjoy Fall Fun at Zao Island 
With school in full swing and summer turning to fall, it is easy to feel as though the fun and games are over. At Zao Island, however, the fun is just getting started. Everything you love about the recreational center is still there, but renovations have also led to exciting new ways to enjoy Zao Island.

Food Bank of NWI Hunger Hustle 
Fundraise an additional $40 per person to get a limited edition (and super rad) Hunger Hustle 2016 t-shirt! Limit one t-shirt per qualifying, registered individual Pre-race yoga/stretching and coffee Come dressed from the 70s. Who knows, there may be prizes! Mixed trail course (Come prepared for the elements and bugs) Well behaved pets on a leash are welcome

Ninth Annual Crown Point Oktoberfest 
Mayor David Uran and Crown Brewing are once again proud to announce the Ninth Annual Oktoberfest on Saturday October 1st from 1-9pm located on South Main St. There will be food, festivities and fun for all ages with a pie eating contest, chili cook-off, live music, bean bag tournament and much much more.

Free Live Music at Garwood Orchard: Point’n Fingers 
The Garwood family has been farming the same land for over 180 years. Through six generations, we've maintained a focus on farming, family, and community. Come visit! We know you'll want to make our family farm your family tradition. Bands play from Noon – 3pm and typically perform on Saturdays and Sundays from early September to mid October.

Duneland YMCA Kids Power Fun Fest 
Don't miss this event! It will be the BEST Fun Fest ever! Over 20 unique game & activity booths! We'll also have a bounce house! (Included in admission!) Free awesome goody bags guaranteed to the first 200 kids to complete their punch card! Admission is only $6.00 per person! A great value! Less than the price of going to the movies, but you create awesome family memories! Activities for parents, too! Get your zumba on while you're there!

5th Annual Fiesta Folklorico  
5th annual Fiesta Folklorico show featuring: Mariachi Tequila of Chicago Ballet Folklorico Tapatio of Northwest Indiana Special Guests: Fiesta Mexicana Dance Co. of Arizona.

Celebration of Wildlife 2016
7th annual awareness, education, rescue and adoption event sponsored by The Porter County Wildlife Management Advisory Board and the Porter County Animal Shelter. The event will highlight native and exotic wildlife, animal rescue groups, vendors, food, raffles. A 5k run is scheduled for the morning of the event to benefit the Porter County Animal Shelter. Donations accepted for Best Buddies Pet Pantry and will benefit family pets in need in Porter County ** 2016 Hero Pet Award winner will be chosen at this event.
