The Region Rat Rollers (RRR) will be hosting their first public inter-league Bout, against Warsaw’s Lake City Roller Dolls. The bout will be held on February 23. This is a family friendly event, with a free kids crafting corner. There will be food concessions and local draft beer provided by Crown Brewing.

We are excited to be bringing you The Academy Awards live on the movie screen on February 24, 2013! Free admission (first come, first serve) to see the Live broadcast of the Oscars at Portage IMAX 16! The red carpet coverage begins at 6:00 pm, with the Academy Awards broadcast beginning at 7:30 pm!
Annual Jazz Night to be held February 22
Join the Valparaiso High School as they present their annual Jazz at Aberdeen event on Friday, February 22, from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm. The evening will begin with the Jazz combo at 6:45, and music will continue throughout the evening with all three of the VHS Jazz Bands performing. Come out to the Aberdeen Manor Ballroom for a night of music and dancing!
Portage High School Annual Student Variety Show
Portage High School once again presents their annual Student Variety Show. The show features the talents of Portage High School students & this year’s show will surely live up to that reputation. There will be singers, rappers, dancers, bands, magic, a standup comedian & a production number from their upcoming Spring Musical, the regional premier of “Legally Blonde The Musical”, to be presented the last two weekends in April.
The Michigan City Mainstreet Association to Host Uptown Fashion Affair
The Uptown Fashion Affair will be held Friday, February 22 from 6pm to 10pm in the historic Barker Hall at 600 Franklin Street to showcase the men’s and women’s fashions and styling of the Uptown Arts District. Attendees can expect live entertainment, a silent auction, food, a cash bar and the fashion show.
Pancake Breakfast for Rebuilding Together Portage
Rebuilding Together Portage will be hosting a pancake breakfast on Saturday February 23, 2013 at Applebee's in Portage, IN from 8am-10pm. All proceeds from the breakfast will benefit Rebuilding together Portage.
Bowl as Superheroes for Local Abused and Neglected Children
Every child needs a hero. Abused and neglected children need a superhero. They need a CASA! Support CASA at the Superhero Bowl-A-Thon on Saturday, February 23, from 2 to 4 pm. The event will take place at City Lanes in Michigan City.

The Towle Theater’s season premiere of Laurence Mark Wythe’s musical, Tomorrow Morning is under the direction of Jeff Casey. The Towle Theater’s production of the musical, Tomorrow Morning tells the story of two couples, one on the cusp of deeper commitment and the other on the brink of separation.
2013 Northwest Indiana Free Throw Contest
The Northwest Indiana YMCA Free Throw Contest will be held Saturday, February 23 at noon, at the La Porte County Family YMCA. The top boy and girl in each division will represent our local YMCA at the Championship.

On Saturday, February 23rd The Duneland Family YMCA will host its annual Sweetheart Dinner Dance at Sand Creek Country Club. The event will begin with cocktails at 6:00 PM followed by dinner at 7:00 PM. Dinner music will be provided by a group of talented CHS freshman.
