Portage YMCA Cocoa & Canvas 
Children will be supplied with paint, one canvas, hot cocoa, and cookies. Come to class dressed to get messy! Two classes will be held one Friday of each month. Preschoolers can participate with help from a parent. Must be registered to attend, register at the Welcome Center of the Portage Township YMCA.

La Porte County Family YMCA Dancing Like a Star 
Kick off your Memorial Day Weekend with the Y! Join us Friday, May 27th in the Stardust Ballroom at Blue Chip Casino for our 2nd Annual Dancing Like A Star competition. At this exciting event, local celebrities and their professional dancer partners will face off to raise funds for our La Porte County Family YMCA scholarship fund. These funds help us ensure that important Y programs like swim classes, youth and adult sports, summer camp, preschool and Educare remain accessible to everyone in our community.

Theatre at the Center presents Nice Work If You Can Get It
Theatre at the Center announces the Chicagoland premiere of the Broadway hit Nice Work If You Can Get It. This new musical features a book by Tony Award winner Joe DiPietro, and a treasure trove of George and Ira Gershwin's most beloved, instantly recognizable tunes (Let's Call the Whole Thing Off, Someone to Watch Over Me, 'S Wonderful). Nice Work If You Can Get It runs May 5 through June 5 at Theatre at the Center.

Nearly 95% of products available at the market will be sold directly by the producer.

Go Disc Golf at Purdue Northwest-North Central Campus
The Purdue University North Central 18-hole disc golf course is open for the public to enjoy at no charge. The course winds through the beautifully landscaped 268-acre campus, presenting a challenging and visually appealing course that can be enjoyed by experienced, intermediate and beginning disc golfers. The course is groomed and maintained year-round. The first hole is located adjacent to the PNC baseball field at the south end of campus.

Take a Stroll Around Countryside Park
Countryside Park, Est 1984 Location: 5250 US HWY 6 map This 33-acre park site is located in the southwestern part of the city, along U.S. 6, just east of County Line Road. Countryside Park features a playground, sledding hill, picnic shelter, softball field, and a fishing pond. The park also has access to the Prairie Duneland Trail which passes along the southern boundary of the park. Countryside park is most recognized as the home of the Portage Historical Society and the Alton Goin Historical Museum.
