Chicago Street Theatre: A Year With Frog and Toad
Audiences of all ages can be part of Chicago Street Theatre's busy season of shows with the opening of the Family Musical, A Year With Frog and Toad. Based on the celebrated book series written and illustrated by Arnold Lobel, the play tells the story of two amphibian friends-a worry wart Toad and his perky frog companion.

Guys and Dolls
Based on Damon Runyon’s famous tales of small-time hoods and showgirls, the show features a collection of unique underworld characters and denizens of the streets in New York of the '30s and '40s. The classic songs, which have become part of our national heritage, also include “Adelaide’s Lament,” “Sue Me,” “A Bushel and a Peck,” “If I Were a Bell,” “Fugue for Tinhorns,” “More I Cannot Wish You,” “Take Back Your Mink,” and many more.

Portage Township YMCA: Touchdowns & Tutus 
“Touchdowns & Tutus” is a fun-filled evening that includes: A night of dancing to music by Hear. O AV Solutions, Hot Shot Photo Booth by Hear., and Small bites and beverages.

Portage Township YMCA Family Float Night 
Join us the 1st Friday of most months for FREE Family Float Night. Children of all ages are welcome. They must be accompanied by an adult. Free to Everyone! No Membership Required.

Fragile Soul Returns to LCA for March First Friday
Winner of Acorn Theater's 2015 Singer/Songwriter Competition, Rodney Golson and Pablo Baldetti of Fragile Soul perform original heartfelt music that's both relaxing and powerful. And with a sound influenced by City and Colour, this indie acoustic duo is sure to play the perfect soundtrack to the evening.

Crown Point Community Foundation Annual Volunteer Fair and Blood Drive
There are so many ways to give back to your community. Explore opportunities and discover how your unique talents might fit the needs of the 90+ nonprofits in attendance. Browse through the fair, ask questions and talk with groups of interest to you. The Fair is FREE and all ages are welcome. Concession stand will be available.

Spin-A-Thon: Pedaling for a Purpose at the Valparaiso Family YMCA
Join the Valpo YMCA in their cause to help strengthen a survivor or ride “In honor of” someone. This event is open to both members and community participants of riders in middle school age (accompanied by a parent) to adults. Register to ride as an individual or a team of three.

1st Annual Relay For Life of South Lake County Craft & Vendor Fair
Relay For Life of South Lake County is hosting its 1st Annual Craft & Vendor Fair. 25+ crafters and vendors! Homemade wood crafts, ceramics, jewelry, clothing, makeup and much more! Proceeds from vendor space rental benefit Relay For Life of South Lake County.

Maple Sugaring Demonstration Returns to Friendship Botanic Gardens
Friendship Botanic Gardens will host a free afternoon of winter wilderness discovery at the annual Maple Sugar Time Demonstration. Visitors can take a self-guided nature walk through old-growth woodland trails before stopping by the maple sugaring station to learn how the early inhabitants of North America produced maple syrup. Free children’s crafts will be available at the Friendship Botanic Gardens welcome cabin.
