June 15th - Public Goat Walks

Gabis Arboretum at Purdue Northwest - Valparaiso, IN

Join the goats on their daily walk and see first hand what it's like to leash them and take them out on the trails.
Public goat walks will be every Wednesday at 5 pm and Saturdays at 10 am starting May 1st. Meet at the goat shed and be prepared for some fun.
The goats do not like the rain so if it's raining, plan on the walks to be cancelled.

Washington Park - Michigan City, IN

The Michigan City Parks and Recreation Department and the library collaborate for summer Movies in Washington Park. The first showing is Hotel Transylvania 3. The movie will begin at dusk.
Join your favorite monster family as they embark on a vacation on a luxury monster cruise ship so Drac can take a summer break from providing everyone else's vacation at the hotel. It's smooth sailing for Drac's Pack until Mavis realizes Drac has fallen for the mysterious captain of the ship, Ericka, who hides a dangerous secret that could destroy all of monsterkind.

June 15th - Rockopelli Music Fest rocks into Griffith

Griffith Central Park - Griffith,

Rockopelli Music Fest will move to Central Park in Griffith on June 15 for its day-long event incorporating local music, art, food and drinks. Rockopelli started eight years ago in Munster and has traveled the region since, making stops at Wicker Park and Main Square in Highland. Joel Ratajack is the founder and chairman of the event.
"Griffith has such a strong community, and we're excited to be included in that" said Ratajack.
The event is held to donate to local charities Planting Possibilities and Murph's Gift of Music. Rockopelli Music Fest is a free event for all ages, but all donations are accepted.
The festival will have performance by musicians from northwest Indiana and Chicago including The Crawpuppies, OHMME, Fay Ray, OBY, Dirtymac and Today's Trade.
"Central Park is a great location for bands from Northwest Indiana and Chicago to come together," said Bianca Cordova, director of marketing at Rockopelli.
