WVLP Hog Roast
The time is once again upon us: WVLP is holding its annual community dinner known as the Hog Roast. As always, we are using the comfortable venue, The Butterfield Pavilion (located at the fairgrounds), and our feast will be catered this year by KP Catering.
Pierogi Fest
No matter if you believe the festival started over a group of friends deciding to pay homage to their Eastern European heritage, or the coming together of the community over Mrs. Pierogi leaving her husband for Mr. Kielbasa, pretty much everyone can agree that the Pierogi Fest in the City of Whiting is the place to be every last weekend of July (24th, 25th, and 26th this year).
Downtown La Porte Movie Night
Friday July 24th, bring your blankets and chairs to Downtown La Porte and join us for Friday Night at the Movies. This is a free event open to all ages. The featured film is “FROZEN”. The movie will be shown at dusk in the Herald Argus Parking Lot on the corner of State and Monroe Streets. From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., princesses Anna and Elsa will be in attendance to sign autographs and take pictures with their fans. At 8:15 p.m. Grace Tarnow and Shania Povlock of Hoosier Star fame will perform a live duet of the hit song ‘Let it Go’ from the movie. This is a not-to-miss event!
European Market Market

From 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, visit us at Broadway and Third Street, next to Thomas Centennial Park.
