February 16th - Relay for Life Nail Trims at Vale Park Animal
Vale Park Animal Hospital - Valparaiso, IN
All nail trims will be discounted from 2-4 on Saturday to $10 and will be ran by all volunteers. All proceeds are donated to the Relay for Life foundation. No appointment needed. Dates for the event are February 16, March 16, and April 20.

Kaliedoscope, a modern and contemporary dance concert, has been exciting audiences since 1999 while enhancing the performing arts in Northwest Indiana. Amanda Tuohy, Director of Kaliedoscope and IBT Associate Artistic Director, has created a Chicago-style concert that showcases an array of dances, music and talent. The annual concert is filled with emotions transformed into dance in this amazing fluid show performed by Indiana Ballet Theatre and IBT Company.

Our evening will include dinner and an open bar accompanied by live entertainment featuring dancers from Indiana Youth Ballet. The evening will close with a silent auction and dancing for everyone. Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and the 219 Day Committee invite all Region residents over 21 years of age to join us for the fun, weird and wacky event that celebrates everything Region, 219 Day. The 219 Day is at the Hammond Civic Center on Saturday, February 16 from 6:00 to 11:00 pm.

Heart disease is the No.1 cause of death in the U.S. In the last 12 months the lives of more than 200 of our patients were changed because the electrical impulses that allow their hearts to beat were irregular and placed them at risk. Pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and other medical interventions were utilized to treat patients. More than half of these patients were underinsured or uninsured. Event proceeds will support this service, help secure equipment purchases and much more.

Need to get out of the house during these winter days but want to do something different? Join in a worldwide bird count right from our bird viewing room! The Great Backyard Bird Count was launched in 1998 by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and National Audubon Society, and was the first online citizen-science project to collect data on wild birds and to display results in near real-time.
