Each week we will be bringing you 10 fun things to do in Northwest Indiana over the weekend, so you are never without something to do! This weekend a pet costume parade, a massive indoor garage sale, Biketoberfest, a healthy Halloween party, a wine tasting, a downtown holiday celebration, an adoption event, a 30th anniversary celebration, a spaghetti dinner, and an Oktoberfest celebration are all on tap for a fun weekend in Northwest Indiana!
Celebrate Halloween with Your Favorite Pet
On Saturday, October 20th, join Vale Park Animal Hospital for spooktacular fun! There will be a pets in costume, a parade of the pets, pet photos, several giveaways, goody bags, food and games, and more!
Fall Garage Mahal
The Porter County Expo Center will be transformed into a GIGANTIC indoor garage sale from 7:30 am – 3:00 pm. Two hundred different booths of bargains and treasures will be on display for purchase. All persons attending will have the opportunity to win wonderful prizes donated by participating booth renters and sponsors.
Harley-Davidson of Michigan City Hosting Biketoberfest
On Saturday, October 20th, from 9am until 5pm, Harley-Davidson of Michigan City will host a huge pre-owned bike sale during their Biketoberfest Sale. The store will have a huge sale on pre-owned domestic, import, and discontinued bikes, along with a general merchandise sale.
Celebrate a Healthy Halloween
Join us for a different type of Halloween Party this year-A HEALTHY ONE! Pumpkin Decorating, Hula Hoop Contest, Costume Parade, Zumba, DJ and Limbo and so much more! This FREE event is open to the public and is part of the "A Healthy Portage Starts Here Initiative".
Enjoy a Wine Tasting in Support of Valpo Schools
The Valpo Schools Foundation invites you to attend a Fundraiser Wine Tasting with fine wine, beer and spirits! Appetizers will be served and chocolate samples will be provided by South Bend Chocolate Company. There will be great raffle and auction items as well!
It's All Tricks and Treats in the Uptown Arts District
Ryan's Irish Pub, 401 Franklin Street, will have a Bank of Horrors Haunted Second Level also sponsored by Mystic Investigations and the Michigan City Zombie Group. The Bank of Horrors runs from 7pm to 11pm, 6pm to 10pm on October 20th.

Two pet adoption events will be held Saturday, October 20. Lakeshore PAWS' pets will be available at Coco's Canine Cabana from 1 to 3 pm. The pets will also be participating in Vale Park Animal Hospital's Howl-O-Ween Party from 1 to 3 pm!
Prudential to Celebrate 30th Anniversary
Prudential Executive Group Real Estate is inviting the public to join the agency in celebrating its 30th anniversary on Saturday, October 20. Festivities will include live music by local musicians Chris & Lou, children's activities (a candy table, inflatables, balloon animals, and more) and a BBQ from Ruge Meats.
Frontline's Spaghetti Dinner
Invite all of your friends and family for this special dinner. $5 per person for all-you-can-eat! All of the proceeds go to Frontline Foundations to help us provide substance abuse treatment for young adults in Porter County aged 18-28
Oktoberfest and Hayride Time
All are welcome to the Oktoberfest and Hayride at St. Paul Catholic Church! Come out on October 19 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm for hayrides, food, bounce houses, face painting, and a beer garden!
