Whiting Lakefront Park Holiday Light Spectacular
Holiday lights will be displayed daily and lit at dusk, every night from November 27th till January 4th. This holiday season, drive through Whiting Lakefront Park to view over 100 light displays including a Penguin Winterfest, Toyland, Reindeer and Santa Band, plus many more! 

White Key Gallery Arts Festival
White Key Gallery makes holiday shopping a pleasure. It is easy to find a truly unique gift for that certain special person in your life. Winter Lights Drive
The Winter Lights Drive Thru will be open nightly through January 3rd from 5-9pm. The light displays are unique to the park, and many of them were custom-made by members of the maintenance staff. Some of the displays include a roller coaster that is over 20 feet tall, a farm scene consisting of various pieces, and Santa taking off into the air with his reindeer. The Drive Thru is completely free but donations are always gladly accepted! 

Movies at the Portage 16 IMAX
You can do more than open presents today! You can give the gift of a great movie from the Portage IMAX. Go see Will Smith in Conclusion, Will Ferrell is great in Daddy's Home, and of course Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a favorite and would be an awesome movie to see anytime. Christmas Figure Skating Exhibition
Midwest Training & Ice Center along with Glenwood Figure Skating Club present the Christmas Figure Skating Exhibition. Featured performances by competitive figure skaters and Midwest Learn to Skate students. This event is sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating and Admission is FREE! Call 219-558-8811 for more info.

“A Christmas Story” Comes Home at Indiana Welcome Center
This holiday season, the “A Christmas Story” Comes Home exhibit, presented in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will be on display from Nov. 7, 2015 until Jan. 3, 2016 in the W.F. Wellman Exhibit Hall. The design takes visitors to the streets of downtown Hohman, a fictional Indiana town which was a disguise for Jean Shepherd’s hometown Hammond.

Barker Mansion Christmas Festivities
An annual holiday tradition, Michigan City’s Barker Mansion will open its decorated rooms and halls to the community for viewing this season. The mansion is decorated to the theme “Songs of the Season” as voted upon by the public. December 26 – Glowing Lights Night featuring self-guided tours with glow sticks from 5-8 pm. Please note that the mansion is only open on the listed dates and times; the building will be closed on certain days for upkeep and City holidays. 

Theatre at the Center: A Christmas Story
As the grand finale to their spectacular 25th Anniversary 2015 Season, Theatre at the Center presents the beloved holiday classic, A Christmas Story, running November 19 through December 27, with a press opening on Sunday, November 22 at 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana. Based on the award-winning film, the play by Phil Grecian tells the story of Ralphie Parker, who longs for a genuine Red Ryder BB gun for Christmas. The source material for the film was the warm and hilarious story collection In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash by local Hammond, Indiana native Jean Shepherd. The holiday classic will be directed by Jeff Award-winner Linda Fortunato (Monty Python's Spamalot, A Christmas Carol, 42nd Street at Theatre at the Center). 

Festival of Lights Michigan City
Over five million individual bulbs light up a variety of holiday and traditional displays that are truly a sight to behold! It is the largest free drive-through light exhibit in the Midwest. This has been an annual event for over 20 years at Washington Park.
