Engstrom Jewelers Holiday Open House and Trunk Show
Engstrom Jewelers is excited to announce that this weekend is our annual Holiday Open House and Trunk Show! It will run Friday, Saturday and Sunday with two different trunk shows this year. Friday we will have Designer closeouts from 9am until 9pm. Saturday will be M.K. Diamonds and Jewelry with Natalie K. Sunday we will be open 11am until 4pm. We will have beverages and light appetizers each day. It will be a weekend full of outstanding designer jewelry at fantastic prices!
Every Christmas Story Ever Told (and then Some)
For our grown-ups, we are ecstatic to offer another way to celebrate the holidays with this hilarious comedy of all things holiday related! Instead of performing Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol for the umpteenth time, three actors take it upon themselves to perform each and every holiday special, song, and tradition they can think of in this madcap, caffeine-induced romp. Fans of CST’s Tuna Christmas and The Santaland Diaries will love the fun and humor of this holiday show!
Polar Express Storytelling & City Tour of Lights
Join us on Thursday December 10th or Friday December 11th, at the Crown Point Civic Center for the storytelling of the Polar Express by Cindy Horgash. Stories will be told at the top of each hour beginning at 5pm with the last story at 7pm on Thursday and 8pm on Friday. Tour of lights Trolleys will depart every hour on the ½ hour beginning at 5:30pm with the last bus tour at 7:30pm on Thursday, 8:30pm on Friday. Please call 662-3290 to sign up. Photos with Santa on Santa's Mountain
Photos with Santa on Santa’s Mountain are available between Thanksgiving and Christmas, every Saturday and Sunday between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Indiana Welcome Center. Children have the opportunity to slide down a big red slide into a pillow of snow. Photos are $6 each.
"A Fabulous 50’s Christmas" at the Towle Theater
The Towle Theater has been producing its hallmark holiday show for the past 12 years to sold out audiences. This year, they have once again reinvented “A Fabulous 50’s Christmas” just in time to get you in the holiday mood. The overall concept of the show was created by Managing Director, Jeff Casey in 2003. It is based on the Andy Williams and Perry Como Christmas specials of the 1950’s complete with original vocal arrangements and television commercials from the era. The show has become a holiday tradition for many of their guests who return year after year to enjoy this nostalgic Christmas production.

Valpo Parks: Touch a Truck - Help Toys for Tots
Bull dozers, police cars, buses and more will be on hand for kids of all ages to see and touch. On Saturday, December 12 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Central Park Plaza in downtown Valparaiso, visitors can enjoy free hot chocolate and visit with some holiday characters, too. Touch a truck takes place to collect donations of new unwrapped toys for the Toys for Tots campaign. Toy donations are currently being accepted at the Valpo Parks Department office at 3210 N Campbell Street, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
IU Health La Porte Hospital Foundation's 21st Annual Holiday at the POPS Concert
An evening out at the community’s most cherished holiday event would make a great pre-holiday gift, and it just so happens tickets are on sale right now. The 21st Annual Holiday at the Pops takes place before all the hustle and bustle of Christmas, at 7 p.m., Dec. 12 at the La Porte Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge Street, La Porte. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Want to try out a new wine trail in the area? On Sunday December 13, enjoy three different wineries on the Christmas Wine Trail. Shady Creek Winery, Anderson Winery, and Running Vines Winery are all participating and cost is $25 per person or $40 per couple.
