Easter eggs, bunnies, and more in this week's 10 Fun Things to Do in Northwest Indiana. This week's feature highlights some of the best Easter egg hunts in the region. Featuring cities like Whiting, Michigan City, Hammond, Portage, and more. There's bound to be a great hunt near you! There are these and more fun events in this week's 10 Fun Things to do this Weekend in Northwest Indiana!

J.W. Baz Returns to Host LCA Poetry Slam
Join Lubeznik Center for the Arts for the annual First Friday Poetry Slam. Poets will start reading at 5:30pm. Admission is free and there will be a cash bar.

Portage Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast & Easter Egg Hunt
Approximately 5,000 eggs will be scattered for this annual event! The hunt is FREE for kids ages 3-11 years old. Parents, please bring basket/bag for collecting eggs.

Schererville Parks and Recreation Department's Breakfast with Bunny
Schererville Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Breakfast with Bunny event. Bring your appetite as there will be a full breakfast catered by Round the Clock. Youth can also make their own jars of bunny bait as they wait for the arrival of the Easter Bunny.

Hammond Easter Egg Hunt
Mayor Thomas M. McDermott, Jr. and Hammond Parks & Recreation are inviting Hammond residents to bring children ages 12 and under to their Annual Easter Egg Hunts. There is no charge to attend. Both hunts will be at noon.

Culver's Easter Eggs-Travaganza
Come out to Culver's of Valparaiso to meet Scoopie and the Easter Bunny. There will be games, prizes, and more! 

Hop into Whiting
Before heading to the Annual Easter Parade in Downtown Whiting, go to the annual Easter egg hunt! The hunt begins at 10am for children ages 5 and under, who will hunt for eggs inside the Mary Bercik Pavilion, and at 11am for children between the ages of 6 and 12 who will hunt for eggs throughout the park.

Empty Bowls Project
The Empty Bowls Project is a luncheon fundraiser held at Portage High School West cafeteria. The PHS R.O.T.C. will serve you from a great variety of soups (made by St Peter Portage Lutheran church & Portage Township Food Pantry volunteers) with bread provided by Panera Bread and buns/rolls provided by Texas Roadhouse. 

5th Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Washington Park
Members of the Michigan City Police Dept will be hosting our annual “Easter Egg Hunt”. Everyone is strongly encouraged to arrive early as last year traffic was backed up on Lakeshore Drive at the start of the hunt. The actual hunt will start at 12pm rain or shine.

Beatles in the Barn
Beatles in the Barn is BACK! Join us April 8th and celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Sgt Pepper with the MegaBeatles! MegaBeatles is a talented group of musicians from Northwest Indiana/Chicago that recreate the music of the Beatles with precision, passion, and Love! The band features members of both the Chris and Lou band and the CrawPuppies both Northern Indiana favorites

WVLP Presents "Stars Over Valpo"
WVLP would like to invite everyone to our annual fundraising event, "Stars Over Valpo", which is a musical revue featuring the best local artists around. Fun, fast-paced entertainment for every age group and for lovers of good music.
