Towle Youth Theater Ensemble Presents World Premiere of "Mental"
The Towle Youth Theater Ensemble (TYTE) breaks new ground for its 2016 spring season with the world premiere of “Mental”, a drama written by a TYTE member, Isabel Zuniga and directed by Dan Brennan (Lisle, IL).

Portage Community Historical Society Antique Sale
The Portage Community Historical Society will be holding an antique sale on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Michigan City First Friday Art Walk
The galleries and merchants of the Uptown Arts District in Michigan City are continuing the First Friday tradition on First Friday April 1, from 5pm (CST) until 8pm or later. In addition to the list below several other venues and restaurants will be open. 

South Shore Orchestra:Puccini Requiem/ Vivaldi Gloria

Valparaiso University will host the 2016 Jazz Fest March 28 – April 2, featuring diverse workshops and performances including the Benny Green Trio and the legendary Count Basie Orchestra.

40th Annual Duneland Woodcarvers Show
The 40th Annual Woodcarvers Show will take place in Woodland Park in Portage on April 2 10am-5pm and April 3 10am-4pm. There will be carving exhibitors, demonstrations, supplies for sale, wood working, prizes and food. 

PNW Calumet Auto Show
Calling all owners of classic and modern cars, trucks and bikes to participate in an auto show, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 3 at Purdue University Northwest’s Calumet campus—173rd Street parking lot. The charge to register a vehicle for inclusion in the show is $15 or $10 for early registration. Spectator admission is free, though donations will be appreciated. 

Stars Over Valpo 2016
On Sunday, April 3rd from 6:00 - 8:30 PM there will be concert at the V.U. Center for the Performing Arts: Stars Over Valpo. This review of local musicians (and one comic) is a fundraiser for WVLP, the local, not-for-profit community radio station.
