The array of events we have this weekend are the delicious St. Peter Germanfest, colorful 5th Annual UMW Fall Arts & Crafts Show, thrilling Sweeney Todd, professional Purdue University Northwest Fall Career Expo, and more. September 28: Fun-Raising Unified Car Wash and Free Hot Dog Lunch - Michigan City, IN
Michigan City Police, Michigan City Fire & Michigan City Area Schools present a "Fun-Raising" Unified Car Wash and "Free" Hot Dog Lunch.

September 28: Purdue University Northwest Fall Career Expo - Hammond, IN
The Fall Career Expo is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to all alumni and students of Purdue University regardless of campus affiliation. The general public is welcome to attend this event from 1 to 2 p.m. Job seekers are encouraged to come dressed for an interview and have multiple copies of their resume ready. Business professional dress is recommended.

September 28 - 30: Sweeney Todd, A Musical Thriller - Valparaiso, IN
In this infamous tale Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth century London seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife.

September 29: St. Peter Germanfest - Portage, IN
Founders Square Portage, IN from 12pm-10pm. Come see The Johnny Wagner Band and the Crawpuppies.

September 29: Advanced Dental Concepts Open House - Portage, IN
Come join us to see our new portage office and meet our team. Food, games, refreshments, prizes and fun!

September 29: 5th Annual UMW Fall Arts & Crafts Show - La Porte, IN
This year's event will feature over 100 artists and crafters from Indiana, Michigan and Illinois who specialize in making unique, hand-crafted items. Their booths will be located inside three buildings so visitors can do their shopping in comfort without worrying about the weather.

September 29: Student Conservation Association Invites Volunteers to Plant Trees - East Chicago, IN
Join the Student Conservation Association (SCA) Calumet Tree Conservation Corps this fall as they plant hundreds of trees in local parks and schools! Fall plantings kicked off on Saturday, September 8th with volunteers helping to plant 35 trees at Maywood Elementary in Hammond.

September 29: Valparaiso University Dance Marathon Homecoming FT5K - Valparaiso, IN
The FT5K will be the first of a series of events leading up to the organization’s Dance Marathon. All funds raised from the 5K and every event sponsored by Valpo’s Dance Marathon will benefit the families of children receiving care at Ann and Robert H. Lurie’s Childrens Hospital of Chicago and the Children’s Miracle Network.

September 30: Franciscan Health’s Annual Inspiring Women Event - Just Dance - Westville, IN
Franciscan Health’s annual Inspiring Women-Just Dance Event will feature motivational speaker Leigh Anne Tuohy, inspirational subject of “The Blind Side” book and movie fame, Sept. 30 at Purdue University Northwest.

September 30: 19th Annual Victory for Veterans Memorial Ride - Highland, IN
The 19th Annual V4V Memorial Ride is almost here! $25/single $40/double, includes souvenir ride pin and food and beverage tickets with enteraitment after the ride with Hessville Star.
