Get together with the City of Hammond for its Holiday Parade and Santa Sprint 5k
Mayor McDermott and the Hammond Holiday Parade Committee are bringing you a double feature this weekend. On Saturday at 9:30 a.m., the day will kick off with a one-mile sprint down Indianapolis Boulevard. At 10 a.m., the Holiday Parade will leave from Gavit High School on its way to the Hammond Sportsplex. Learn more here.

Kick off Christmas with the Portage Park’s Christmas in the City
The City of Portage will be holding its Christmas in the City event on Saturday. The day will begin with the Portage Department of Parks and Recreation’s annual Christmas Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rumor has it that Santa himself will be attending from noon onwards. At 4, the Portage Kiwanis Club’s Santa’s Parade of Toys will begin its march towards Founders Square, where the Portage Event Partnership will light the Christmas tree! Learn more here.
