Treat your family to an action-packed night of roller derby as the South Shore Roller Girls battle it out against the Midwest Derby Divas from Sterling, IL, for the last home bout of their inaugural 2014 season on October 25, 2014. The event will take place at the Jean Shepherd Center, 3031 J.F. Mahoney Drive, Hammond, IN, 46323; doors open at 6:30 pm with the first whistle at 7:00 pm.
You can purchase tickets at the door: $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-10, free admission for children 5 and under. A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Reins of Life: Therapeutic Horseback Riding in Michigan City, IN.
Roller derby isn't just about the hard hits and booty blocks. It's a highly strategic and aggressive full contact sport that everyone can enjoy! While watching the bout, enjoy food and drinks offered by Leroy's Hot Stuff. Wear your Halloween costume for the contest during half-time! Other local vendors and more half-time entertainment from the Valpo ATA Black Belt Academy will round out the evening.
