The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is holding August courses offering instruction on compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. The 10-hour Voluntary Compliance Course will be held August 19-20, while the 30-hour Voluntary Compliance Course will be August 19-22.
At the end of these courses, attendees will have training from an OSHA-authorized instructor, a comprehensive manual and a course completion card from the U.S. Department of Labor.
Wilder Allen, president of Safety Management Corporation, will present the courses. A former IOSHA compliance officer and trainer, he has 37 years of professional experience and is a consultant to major corporations for OSHA compliance issues.

OSHA 10-hour Voluntary Compliance Course for General Industry, August 19-20, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day one and 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on day two. This course provides a summary of the most important OSHA guidelines and topics and is good for two credits toward the completion of the Safety Compliance Specialist Certificate. Cost: $599.
OSHA 30-hour Voluntary Compliance Course for General Industry, August 19-22, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on day one; 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on days two and three; 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on day four. This course aims to increase workplace safety and compliance through expert instruction on OSHA codes and standards. The course counts for four credits toward the Safety Compliance Specialist Certificate. In addition, attendees are given a copy of the General Industry (1910) Code of Federal Regulations, a $50 value. Cost: $899
