On Saturday night, May 10th take a stroll through Downtown La Porte and join in the 1st Annual Maple City Pub Crawl. From 5 – 8 p.m. participating downtown restaurants and bars will be offering specials including tastings and entertainment. A limited edition Pub Crawl button will be for sale leading up to this event at the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce located at 803 Washington Street in the old train depot. Buttons will also be available at all participating locations during the crawl. The button sells for $3.00 with all proceeds going toward the fund raising efforts of purchasing a new movie screen for Friday Night Movies in downtown La Porte.
The downtown Friday Night Movies were started several years ago by the original Downtown Action Committee as free events that encouraged kids and adults to come and enjoy a beautiful night in our historic downtown. Every purchase of a Pub Crawl button will get us closer to a new movie screen that will only enhance these fantastic evenings.
The participating locations for the 1st Annual Maple City Pub Crawl include Etropal, Seven, Twisted K8, Ogle’s Inn, Dick’s Bar, Ellian’s Pub, Lucky Bar, and Smutzer’s Club Tavern. Maps will be available on Downtown La Porte’s Facebook page and at all locations. You must be at least 21 years of age to participate in this event and remember to crawl responsibly.
