The Duneland Chamber of Commerce will be holding its November After Hours Club at Framing Concepts on Thursday, November 21, from 5:30 – 8:30 pm, in conjunction with the Artability Show & Auction – an annual event which benefits the Art Enrichment program of Opportunity Enterprises. Visitors to Framing Concepts, located at 219 Broadway in historic downtown Chesterton, will enjoy appetizers and wine while bidding on a variety of canvas art available for sale by silent auction.
Original canvas paintings will be sold by silent auction using bid-by-text technology provided by Auctions Cellular. Guests should be sure to bring their cell phones to the event to engage in bidding. The auction is currently online and open for bidding at www.ARTability.myab.co. The evening of the event, staff in red shirts will be on hand to assist guests with placing bids. Ceramics and glass art products will also be available for purchase.
All art to be sold at the Artability show has been created by the clients of Opportunity Enterprises (OE), an organization which works to maximize self-sufficiency and enrich the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. OE is located in Valparaiso at 2801 Evans Avenue.
In addition to the silent auction and sale at Framing Concepts, Ashley’s Jewelry by Design next door will be hosting its annual Drinks & Diamonds Ladies Night event from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Prizes will be given away every 30 minutes while guests enjoy appetizers, desserts, wine and beer.
