Kickoff for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Wednesday, July 31 at Shady Creek Winery

Walk-to-End-AlzheimersThe Alzheimer’s Association is inviting northwest Indiana residents to the Kickoff for the Michigan City Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The Kickoff will be held on Wednesday, July 31, from 5:00-7:00 PM at Shady Creek Winery, 2030 Tryon Road in Michigan City.

Representatives and Volunteers from the Alzheimer’s Association will explain the importance of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and how to get involved. Participants will also learn fun tips at the “Fundraising Fair.”

The Team Kickoff is being sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association and Shady Creek Winery. Reservations are recommended as light refreshments will be served. For more information or to RSVP, please call the Alzheimer’s Association Helpline at 800-272-3900.

There has never been a greater need for northwest Indiana citizens to join in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by participating in Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” said Louise Thompson, an Alzheimer’s Association spokesperson. “This kickoff is a great way to get information and learn how fun and easy it is to become involved in Walk to End Alzheimer’s to increase awareness and support the programs and services of the Alzheimer’s Association.”
