Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) invites the public for a Ladies' Sip & Shop on Sunday, Dec. 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Central).
Everyone, the guys too, are welcome to enjoy complimentary mimosas and bagels and a day of shopping. Local vendors will be onsite with a "trunk" of special goodies to help you pick the perfect items.
One local artist participating in the trunk show is Molly Brodzeller of Glass.Brodz. Dedicated to sustainability, Brodzeller transforms recycled glass into stunning pieces of art perfect for your home. She also repurposes glass scraps to craft unique, lead-free stained glass jewelry, offering you a beautiful way to wear art.
Anneke Dekker, of Anko Arts, will bring one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry. Dekker incorporates the experiences and collection of vintage fabrics and beads gained from her travels and living in many different countries into her artwork and jewelry designs.
Chicago-based artist Millicent Kennedy, known for their work in textiles, printmaking and bookmaking, will showcase a selection of unique handmade books, boxes, prints and bandanas. Kennedy integrates natural dyes into the textiles used and skillfully stitches objects into each creation, blending traditional craft with innovative design.
Linda and Jim Winegar of Winegar Pottery will also be onsite with a variety of functional and decorative clay pieces. These range from utilitarian items such as vases, bowls, platters, casseroles and dinnerware to more decorative objects such as large floor pots and one-of-a-kind carved and embossed vessels with precious and semi-precious stones as adornments.
