On Tuesday, February 12th, the Kiwanis Club of LaPorte will take over the airways at WLOI/WCOE for the entire day. We will be doing Sound-off, Vital Statistics, Tradio, the News, and even Breakfast Showcase. The day should be fun for both the club and for the listening audience. The airwave take-over is a fundraiser and celebration of Kiwanis’ 91 years of service to the La Porte community.
Ken Coe, Station Owner, has made available to the club a special advertising package during the anniversary week benefitting the Kiwanis Club. The package is independent of any program you may have with WLOI/WCOE and all the proceeds from the advertising sales go to the LaPorte Kiwanis Club for support of projects serving the children of LaPorte.
The LaPorte Kiwanis Club is celebrating 91 years of community service in the greater LaPorte area in 2013. The Club’s community service budget has grown to over $20,000 to support four college scholarships, 4-H activities, the La Porte YMCA, Support Our Youth program, Pioneer Land, Kiwanis Teledyne Park, and many more.
