The photos captured at these gatherings were shared on your news feeds throughout the year, and each one tells a special story, a moment in time that you can now cherish forever.

Whether it was of you crossing the finish line at a race, of a neighbor you know getting nominated at an awards ceremony, or of your own child holding their diploma proudly at their graduation ceremony, there are so many photos worth sharing, and we thank you for providing us with so much good to photograph.

MICHIGAN CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2023

The Michigan City Police Department hosted a National Night Out Against Crime alongside countless other police departments across the country. The event allowed community members to interact with and get to know members of the law enforcement team protecting their city. 

CITY OF LA PORTE NIBC LA PORTE INVITATIONAL 2023

The National Interscholastic Basketball Conference (NIBC) brought the nation’s top high school basketball players back to La Porte for another weekend of spectacular basketball. This event served as a way for the people of Northwest Indiana to see talent that will be featured in big Division I college schools, and even the NBA.

LA PORTE VS. MICHIGAN CITY GIRLS BASKETBALL 2023

The Michigan City girls basketball squad successfully defended home court in the first part of a double-header rivarly showdown against the La Porte Slicers on Friday Night, winning 52-20. Junior Paulicia Isom led the Wolves, posting 14 points on the evening. The win moves the Wolves’ season record to 6-12, while the Slicers fall to 0-20.

LA PORTE VS. MICHIGAN CITY 2023 BOYS BASKETBALL

The La Porte Slicers came out on top in a Friday night basketball rivalry matchup against the Michigan City Wolves, coming back from a first-half deficit to win 76-73. Senior Ja’meriyon Cross led the Slicers in scoring, putting 19 points on the board. Junior Malik Corley wasn’t far behind, contributing 18 points after going 10-for-10 on free throw attempts. After the win, the Slicers are sitting on a 10-5 record for the season.

The Wolves fall to 10-4. Senior Jamie Hodges led the City effort with 23 points.

GIRLS SOFTBALL LA PORTE VS. MICHIGAN CITY 2023

The Michigan City Wolves took on the La Porte Slicers this evening at home. The Slicers put up 5 runs in the first and kept on going. The game ended by slaughter rule in the 5th inning with a score of Slicers 16 to the Wolves 0.  Madison Squire, Allie Wiencek, Lauren Poe, and Gabby Bush led the Slicers at the plate with 3 hits each. Both Poe and Wiencek tallied 3 RBIs each as well. The Slicers improve to 8-7 (6-3).

BOYS FOOTBALL LA PORTE VS. NEW PRAIRIE 2023

La Porte overcomes rival New Prairie’s late 4th quarter field goal with a game winning field goal to win 20-18. Prior to the game, former La Porte player Jake West was honored in a ceremony.

CITY OF LA PORTE FIRE DEPARTMENT PANCAKE BREAKFAST 2023

On April 29th, The City of LaPorte Fire Department hosted a pancake breakfast.
