Footlight to ‘Air’ Hitchcock Trilogy

Vintage-HitchcockFootlight Players of Michigan City will present “Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play” beginning Friday, October 5th and continuing on the 6-7 and 11-14. Spies, murder, love, and other trademarks of Alfred Hitchcock come to life in the style of a 1940s radio broadcast of the master of suspense's earlier films. With The Lodger, Sabotage and The 39 Steps, “Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play” is a triple feature, complete with vintage commercials, that recreates a daring train chase, a serial killer's ominous presence, and a devastating explosion through the magic of live sound effects and musical underscoring. Directed by Dee Piotrowski the talented cast includes Mya Abbott, Alexander Bonner, Alice Dickey, and Amanda Monson all of Michigan City, Aram Arden of LaPorte, David Mikolajczyk of Chesterton, and Michael Little of Fair Oaks.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday curtains are at 8:00 pm with Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for Thursday performances and for ages 12 and under. Credit cards are not accepted.

AUDITION NOTICE: Auditions for Footlight Players production of the musical comedy “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown will be held on October 7 and 8 from 7-9 pm at Footlight Theatre, 1705 Franklin Street, Michigan City. The cast call for 4 men and 2 women. Persons auditioning should bring a prepared musical selection and be dressed comfortably for dance. The production is being directed by Daulton Dickey.
