MEMORIAL OPERA HOUSE 2020 SPRING CONCERT SERIES – HEARTACHE TONIGHT – A TRIBUTE TO THE EAGLES

Enjoy an Eagles concert experience and support the conservation work of Shirley Heinze Land Trust at the same time! This performance by Eagles tribute band 'Heartache Tonight' includes everything from the notable guitar duel in "Hotel California" to the harmonies of "Peaceful Easy Feeling." All instruments and vocals are live with a set list that covers songs from all eras and incarnations of the Eagles, including "Seven Bridges Road," "Life In The Fast Lane" and "Take It Easy," plus solo hits such as Joe Walsh’s "Rocky Mountain Way" and Don Henley’s "Dirty Laundry." Tickets are $30.00.

WALK YOUR WAY TO FITNESS WITH ST. CATHERINE HOSPITAL’S WELL WALKER’S CLUB

This walking club is for adults over the age of 18. You will receive a FREE pedometer when you join. The monthly meetings feature guest speakers discussing a wide range of healthcare topics.

LA PORTE LITTLE THEATRE PRESENTS: THE CURIOUS SAVAGE

Mrs. Savage has been left ten million dollars by her husband and wants to make the best use of it, in spite of her grown-up stepchildren’s efforts to get their hands on it. Knowing that the widow’s wealth is now in negotiable securities, and seeing they cannot get hold of the fortune, the stepchildren commit her to a sanatorium hoping to “bring her to her senses.”

FOOTLIGHT PLAYERS ANNOUNCE AUDITIONS FOR “GYPSY”

The auditions are open to all ages. The show calls for a cast of children, teenagers and adults. At the auditions you will be asked to do cold readings from the script, and to bring along a musical selection, an accompanist will be on hand. If auditioning for a dance role, please wear appropriate footwear. This show is family friendly and is expected to be a sellout production, so come and be part of this amazing experience.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS PLAY AT MERRILLVILLE HIGH SCHOOL

The show features character Seymour Krelborn, a meek floral assistant, who stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Krelborn, as long as he keeps feeding it blood! Over time Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
