July 6th - Johnson’s Blueberry Festival
Blueberry Madness Festival will be held on Saturday July 6th and 7th& July 13th, 14th & July 20th and 21st! We are keeping an eye on the weather and will update everyone when it gets a little closer! Our hours will be Saturday and Sunday from 8am-6pm and we take the last admissions at 5pm! THERE ARE NO LATE ENTRY DISCOUNTS!

July 6th - Conway Observatory Open House (Star Watching)
Our monthly open house is at the Conway Observatory at Buckley Homestead County Park. This month, we will be observing the rings of Saturn. The telescopes will be available for observing the skies, weather permitting.
July 6th - Four Fathers Brewing LLC, 1776’er Can Release
We are bringing back an oldie but a goodie to celebrate Independence Weekend this year!! We have re-vamped this Double IPA to be our most aggressively hopped beer yet at 7lbs per barrel!! This juicy IPA is chock full of Cascade, Nugget, and Chinook hops from Howe Farms alongside Mosaic, Cashmere, and Ekuanot. We will have 16oz 4-pack cans available for $18 no limits. Mug Club you can grab yours Friday the 5th starting at noon.

Come on out to the Valparaiso Market! Lakeshore Paws will have some of our adorable dogs to show off!
July 5th - Market on the Square
There will be over 20 vendors selling unique crafts, fresh produce, honey, flowers, breads and jams. Plus local food vendors selling food. Bands from the region will begin at 6. Then to top off the evening we will have a family movie at dusk. Come and enjoy a fun family evening at the square!

July 6th - Beach Fun Saturdays
Make it a beach day! Activities will include kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, a sunset hike, and a beach campfire. Try out a kayak or paddleboard starting at 2:00 pm. All equipment is provided for free. A one-hour sunset hike on the Dune Succession Trail will start from the Ranger Contact Station located in the north end of the West Beach parking lot. This trail offers stunning views of the sunset over Lake Michigan with the Chicago skyline as a backdrop. A beach campfire, complete with marshmallow toasting, will start shortly before sunset.
