Applications now are online for Unity Foundation of La Porte County’s 2019 Community Fund Grants also known as “Power for Good” grants.
In 2018, more than $140,000 was awarded to over 80 local nonprofit projects. These grants are supported by earnings from unrestricted “Community Funds.”
The application for the annual grants is now available online https://uflc.net/grants/community-grants/ to all nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations located in, or serving La Porte County residents.
A committee of dedicated volunteers from throughout the county evaluates and awards grants of up to $3,000 each. Eligible projects and programs fall into numerous categories, including but not limited to, arts and culture, health, human services, environment, education, and projects that strengthen La Porte County in meaningful ways.
The deadline for submitting this year’s Community Fund Grant applications is 11:59 p.m. CST on Friday, July 26. Organizations may submit two separate project grants for consideration.
