Lunch. We are working hard all morning long. We have big goals to accomplish, meetings to attend, and clients to talk to. Yet, the clock’s hands spin around finally to 12:00 p.m. Lunch.
No matter what is going on, we take our lunch. So, why not head to Patrick’s Grille in Michigan City for that middle of the day meal?
Patrick’s Grille is the recently opened restaurant in La Porte County, located at 4125 S. Franklin Street. It was established by Patrick Wilkins, who turned the restaurant into a center of fine dining with a casual flair. With the help of head Chef Rick Bruggeman, the menu reads off a long list of classic favorites, beverages, and desserts.
And that is not just for dinner. The shortened, but still well-stocked lunch menu includes many of the same dishes found at night. The same soups and salads are offered and most of the appetizers are offered at both meal times, which includes the tribute appetizer of saganaki from the previous restaurant owner.
Sandwiches are similar, yet the lunch menu offers a few more lighter options: the foot-long grilled cheese, a roasted portabella sandwich, a crispy-fish sandwich, and street tacos, with your choice of meat.
The biggest difference between the menu offers will be the dinner versus lunch entrees. At dinner, of course the steak, the pork chops, the many variety of pastas will be available to provide each diner with a big hearty, lasting meal. At lunch though, those items are scaled back to a nice, lunch-size meal that will keep each person satisfied until their next one.
This part of the menu consists of the calf’s liver and onions meal, a chicken parmesan, and a vegetarian stir-fry, which meat can be added to if desired.
The variety is there both during the day and at night, but one thing will be certain. Everyone can find something to enjoy on the menu at Patrick’s Grille. Stop by and find out what that will be today.
