Bishop Noll Institute's band program had much to be proud of this month. First, the BNI jazz band competed at the Robert Morris University Chicago area festival. The band performed two pieces, “Amadio Mio” - featuring vocalist, guitarist, violinist and flutist Sarah Chavez and a big band arrangement of “Hot Chocolate.” The band led the way and scored a first place superior trophy in their category and jazz band members Andres Miranda, trumpet, and George Hernandez, piano, both received outstanding soloist awards.
A few days later, the BNI Marching Warriors took to the streets in Beverly and performed in the Chicago South Side Irish Parade.
The Bishop Noll band program is a national and state award-winning college prep marching and concert band program that offers honors credit to students and offers college level performance in jazz band, string ensemble, mariachi ensemble, brass ensemble and woodwind ensemble.
